Crimson Tide autograph session follows open practice on Saturday
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama Crimson Tide held its annual Fan Day at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The day featured a two-hour open practice followed by a 45-minute autograph session for an estimated 3,000 fans.
Saturday's open practice lasted roughly two hours with the team working in helmets and shorts. The Tide focused on basic offensive, defensive and special teams drills during fall camp's second practice. Following the workout, players and coaches signed autographs to conclude the day's festivities.
The practice was the second in a series of 25 practices for the Crimson Tide as it prepares for its season-opening contest with Louisville in the Camping World Kickoff at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla. The match-up between the Tide and Cardinals is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT on ABC.
Alabama returns 12 starters from last season's squad that finished 13-1 and won the school's 17th national championship. The Tide has claimed four of the last six SEC titles and five of the last nine national championships. Across the last 10 seasons under head coach Nick Saban Alabama owns a 125-14 (.899) record.
