TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – It's a chance to be a part of a new era of success, a chance to don the crimson and white.
Alabama rowing will hold an informational meeting for interested, female students Monday, Aug. 27, at 6 p.m. in the Erg Room of the Student Activity Center by Presidential Village.
"I am so looking forward to meeting the walk-on athletes and getting this season started," assistant coach Madison Keaty said. "It's an exciting time for Alabama Rowing as we aim to take the program to the next level. Walk-ons play a huge role in the success of the team and with their drive and enthusiasm, I believe we are going to build something really special."
At last year's Big 12 Conference Championships, half of Alabama's top-two boats were walk-ons.
"Rowing as taught me discipline, shown me the rewards of constant hard work and given me friendships that will last a lifetime," senior walk-on Makena Clark said. "Trying out for rowing is one of the best decisions I have ever made."
