Twelve Alabama Baseball Players Head to Summer Collegiate Leagues

The Tide’s 12 players will be split across nine different summer leagues
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Twelve members of the 2017-18 Alabama baseball team will take part in collegiate summer leagues spread throughout the country. The 12 players are split across nine different summer leagues, gaining valuable experience against some of college baseball's top athletes.
Alabama will once again send three players to the prestigious Cape Cod League, including Kyle Cameron (Brewster Whitecaps), Sam Finnerty (Hyannis Harbor Hawks) and Deacon Medders (Cotuit Kettleers). The Tide will also send two to the Northwoods League, with both Sam Gardner and John Trousdale pairing up to play with the Willmar Stingers.
The Crimson Tide freshmen will be split across three separate leagues this summer with Brady Greene playing for the Jupiter Wave (Palm Beach), Brock Guffey joining the Bethesda Big Train (Cal Ripken) and Sam Praytor heading to New York to spend the summer with the Amsterdam Mohawks (Perfect Game).
Joining Greene in Florida will be Walker McCleney, with the sophomore spending his summer with the Leesburg Lightning (Florida Collegiate). Working up the coast, redshirt sophomore Connor Stutts rejoins the Brookhaven Bucks (Sunbelt) once again while Mason Duke spends his summer with the Morehead City Marlins (Coastal Plain) in North Carolina. Rounding out the summer assignments is Joe Breaux, with the junior joining the Keene Swamp Bats (New England) in New Hampshire.
