Reyes was tabbed best right back after leading U17 Mexico to its fifth appearance in the championship match
BRADENTON, Fla. – Alabama soccer signee Reyna Reyes was named Best Right Back at the 2018 CONCACAF Under-17 Women's Championship as announced by The Technical Study Group this week.
After Reyes and Mexico defeated Canada, 2-1, in the semifinal round to reach its fifth title match, El Tricolor fell to the United States in a hard-fought, 3-2 battle to finish as the Runner-Up. Despite the late setback, Reyes continued to shine throughout the tournament in the backfield to earn a spot on the championship's Best XI list at right back.
Up next, Reyes and El Tricolor will compete it its fifth U17 World Cup in November in Uruguay.
