Oregon State Beats Wisconsin, 5-1

TUSCALOOSA, Ala.  – The Oregon State Beavers beat the Wisconsin Badgers, 5-1, in the second elimination game of the 2018 NCAA Softball Tuscaloosa Regional in Rhoads Stadium Saturday night.
Oregon State returns Sunday in the potential regional championship game, facing the Alabama Crimson Tide. A win Sunday by the Crimson Tide would advance them to the NCAA Super Regional, while an Oregon State victory would force a deciding game seven.
The Beavers jumped out to a 1-0 lead after two innings before piling on three more runs in the top of the third inning. OSU then added a fifth run in the top of the fifth. The Badgers scored in the bottom of the seventh to account for the final tally.
Mariah Mazon picked up the win for the Beavers, pushing her record to 12-17 on the season, while Haley Hestekin took the loss for Wisconsin, finishing her season at 17-7.
