Alabama’s Stephenson and Gillman on Latest ANNIKA Award Watch List

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama junior Lauren Stephenson and sophomore Kristen Gillman have been named to the latest watch list for the 2018 ANNIKA Award, the ANNIKA Foundation announced Thursday.
Through nine tournaments entering NCAA regional play, Stephenson has a team-leading scoring average of 69.73 with nine top-10 finishes, including seven in the top-three and two tournament victories. Gillman is second on the squad with a 70.58 average, seven top-10 finishes and one victory. The pair also rank 1-2 on the squad in rounds at par or lower with 21 and 19, respectively, in 26 rounds played in 2017-18.
The winner of the 2018 ANNIKA Award will be announced live on the Golf Channel on June 6.
The ANNIKA Award has been presented annually since 2014 and honors the outstanding women's collegiate golfer in the United States. The award is named for former college and LPGA golfer Annika Sorenstam.
