
No. 37 Alabama Women’s Tennis Featured on Latest Oracle/ITA Team Rankings

The Crimson Tide ranks at No. 37 after the Blue Gray National Tennis Classic
TEMPE, Ariz. –The Alabama women's tennis team was featured on the Oracle/ITA Division I Women's Team Rankings for the second consecutive week of the season on Tuesday. The Crimson Tide landed at No. 37 on the list with a 17.75 average. Last week the Tide sat at No. 31 with a 20.41 average.
After a 1-2 outing last weekend at the 70th Blue Gray National Tennis Classic in Montgomery, Ala., the Crimson Tide owns a 12-3 record. Alabama opened the season with a nine-match win streak including an upset-victory over UCF, who received national Top-25 votes on Jan. 24, in its first true road test on Jan. 26, 4-3, while silencing seven opponents. The Crimson Tide also received Top-25 votes in the previous ITA National Team Rankings on Feb. 14 and Jan. 31.
Up next, Alabama will begin its Southeastern Conference slate March 2, facing the No. 15 Kentucky Wildcats at 5 p.m. CT, and will then face No. 4 Vanderbilt on Mar. 4 at 1 p.m. CT.
