Alabama Women’s Golf Tied for First after Round Two of the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge

Lauren Stephenson is three shots off the individual lead after a 3-under par 68 on the tourney’s second day
PALOS VERDES ESTATES, CALIF. – The Alabama women's golf team is tied for first place at 8-over par, after a second-round, even-par 284 performance Monday in the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge at the par-71, 6,017-yard Palos Verdes Golf Club in Palos Verdes Estates, Calif. Overall, Alabama is an 8-over-par 576 after two days of play.
Individually, junior Lauren Stephenson is three shots back in a tie for fourth place after a 3-under par 68 on the tourney's second day. She has an even-par 142 after two days of play. Sophomore Kristen Gillman is one shot behind Stephenson and tied for seventh overall with a two-day total of 143 after shooting a 3-over-par 74 on day two.
Senior Lakareber Abe is two over par (144) for the tourney after shooting an even-par 71 on Monday and is tied for ninth. Junior Cheyenne Knight carded an even-par 71 on day two and is tied for 23rd with a two-day 147. Freshman Angelica Moresco (155) is 13-over par and tied for 64th.
Alabama is tied with UCLA atop the leaderboard after both shot even par on the tourney's second day. Arizona (577), Arizona State (583) and Stanford (587), round out the top-five heading into the tournament's final day.
