We’ll be getting to know this year’s senior class with a series of Q&As here on RollTide.com
In her fourth year representing the Crimson Tide, Laura Egeland hails from Burke, Va., and is a marketing major.
What's your favorite memory of rowing for Alabama?
"My freshman year when I was in the 3V8+ and we got third at the Big 12 Championship - we were the first Alabama boat to place at conference. We also beat Tennessee and that's always a good feeling."
What's your funniest memory of rowing for Alabama?
"I don't have a specific funny memory, but before home races when we are getting ready to boat out, we blast Sweet Home Alabama and Dixieland Delight throughout the boathouse and just get super hyped. Everyone is dancing and singing. It's a good atmosphere."
Which Hogwarts House would you want to be sorted into and why?
"I took a Buzzfeed quiz once and it said I would be a Hufflepuff!"
Who's your favorite Justice League member and why?
"For sure Batman because he is a self-made hero. He doesn't need any powers to get stuff done! Also, the Dark Knight series is in my top favorite movies of all time, I can quote the whole thing by now."
If you were going to be stranded on an island, which teammate(s) would you bring and why?
"Tressa Vitus because we would make it fun and joke around with each other even though it wouldn't be the best situation."
