Andie Daniell Defeats No. 16 Player in the Nation in Opening Round of Oracle ITA National Fall Championships

No. 70 Daniell is set to play No. 33 Giulia Pairone of Michigan
SURPRISE, Ariz. – Alabama senior No. 70 Andie Daniell kicked off the 2018 Oracle ITA National Fall Championships with a 6-2, 6-3, victory over No. 16 Emma Davis of Wake Forest on Wednesday at the Surprise Tennis and Racquet Complex in Surprise, Ariz.
No. 12-seeded Daniell now advances to the Round of 32, where she will face No. 33 Giulia Pairone of Michigan on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. CT. Today's win moves the Daniell to 8-3 and marks her third win over a nationally-ranked opponent this fall.
The 2018 Oracle ITA National Fall Championships is available to a national audience LIVE via ESPN3 and on the ESPN app, and later will be aired on ESPNU for the men's and women's final.
