Alabama seeking its 27th Southeastern Conference championship this weekend
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama held its final practice of the week on Thursday, working in a helmets-only session on Thursday at the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility. The Tide will depart for Atlanta on Friday in advance of Saturday's Southeastern Conference Championship Game with Georgia.
The No. 1 Crimson Tide and the No. 4 Bulldogs will meet for the SEC title on Saturday, Dec. 1 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Ga. The contest will air at 3 p.m. CT on CBS with Brad Nessler, Gary Danielson and Jamie Erdahl on the call.
Alabama is seeking its 27th SEC title this weekend and its fifth in the last seven seasons. The Tide has won five of six conference championship game appearances under head coach Nick Saban, including a 32-28 win over Georgia in the 2012 title tilt at the Georgia Dome.
