
Alabama Returns Home with Monday Matchup Against Clemson

The Crimson Tide will play the Tigers at 7 p.m. CT inside Coleman Coliseum
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama women's basketball begins its three-game home stand against Clemson on Monday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. CT inside Coleman Coliseum. The Crimson Tide (2-1) is coming off of a 62-61 overtime win against SMU on Thursday in Dallas.

THE BROADCAST
• Monday's matchup will be nationally-televised on the SEC Network. On the call will be Roy Philpott and Brooke Weisbrod.
• The game can also be heard on the Crimson Tide Sports Network on 93.3 FM in Tuscaloosa with Roger Hoover on the broadcast.
OPENING TIP
• This is the fifth overall meeting between the two programs, and the first since Dec. 19, 1992 in Tuscaloosa when Clemson claimed a 79-68 victory.
• Alabama is coming off of a two-game road trip in which the team went 1-1. UA first lost 72-62 to Utah in Salt Lake City (Nov. 13), before bouncing back to defeat SMU in overtime, 62-61, in Dallas (Nov. 15).
ALABAMA VS. ACC
• The Crimson Tide is 29-27 all-time against current Atlantic Coast Conference teams.
• In addition to Monday's matchup, the Tide will also play fellow-ACC members, Virginia and Miami (Fla.) on Dec. 20 and Dec. 21 in the Florida Sunshine Classic in Orlando.
ABOUT CLEMSON
• The Tigers are 2-1 under first-year head coach Amanda Butler and coming off a tightly-contested, 69-57, loss to No. 10 South Carolina in Columbia on Nov. 15.
• The Tigers are led by junior Kobi Thornton who leads CU with 18 points and eight rebounds per game.
• In 2017-18 Clemson was 11-19 on the season while posting a 1-15 record in the ACC.
NEWS AND NOTES
• Alabama is the 11th-youngest team in country with an average age of 19.46 on the 2018-19 squad. The six true freshmen on the Tide is tied for sixth-most in the country.
• Junior Jasmine Walker has made significant strides through three games this season with the Tide. The Mobile, Ala. native, currently leads the team in points and rebounds with 13.3 points and 10.3 rebounds per game. Walker also leads the team with two double-doubles this season.
• Junior point guard Jordan Lewis is currently No. 10 all-time in career assists at Alabama and is just 11 away from taking over the No. 9 spot.
• Junior Ashley Knight is just 37 blocks away from breaking Alabama's all-time block record, with 151 blocks in her career. Last year she finished No. 4 in the Tide record books with 59 blocks in a single-season. Knight still holds the single-season record for blocks with 90 in 2016-17.
• Knight also currently holds the highest career field goal percentage (55.7) in Alabama history. The Austin, Texas native, has made 171-of-307 attempts in her Crimson Tide career.
