Alabama Rowing Adds 37 Walk-On Student Athletes

The 37 student-athletes hail from 20 different states
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama rowing has selected 37 new walk-on student-athletes to join the Crimson Tide squad, it was announced Monday by assistant coach Madison Keaty, who coordinates Alabama's novice program.
"I'm thrilled to add these athletes to our team," Keaty said. "They have proven themselves to be competitive hard-workers, quick learners and are driven to improve every day."
The 37 student-athletes cover 20 states, ranging from California to Massachusetts, including three in-state athletes from Alabama. This brings the roster to a total of 98 student-athletes under first-year head coach Glenn Putyrae.
The 37 walk-on student-athletes include Nicole Arnold, Caroline Austin, Sylvia Battersby, Parriss Bettis, Cynthia Braithwaite, Karin Britt, Bella Coan, Bella Cotterell, Ellen Davis, Autumn Gardner, Ashley Gimbel, Abigail Gunter, Isabella Henderson, Anna Beth Ivey, Heather Jones, Allison Krajewski, Kathryn Kurtz, Rebecca Lockwood, Ella Maggio, Meara Matter, Lauren McCoy, Jodie Meeks, Lauren Montgomery, Emily Myatt, Shannon O'Malley, Katie Oneacre, Gianna Rucki, Haleigh Sanders, Paige Siclovan, Stephanie Slaven, Taryn Toledo, Ashley Vandersand, Hannah Wells, Sierra Westbrook, Madison Wollenzier, Amanda Wright and Abigail Zembas
"I look forward to seeing the impact they have on the team as they continue to progress and develop as rowers and coxswains," Keaty said.
