
Alabama Men’s Golf Third, Women’s Golf Fourth in Stroke Play Round at East Lake Cup

Crimson Tide teams will begin match play semifinals on Tuesday morning
ATLANTA, Ga. – The Alabama men's and women's golf teams finished third and fourth, respectively, in stroke play at the East Lake Cup on Monday at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta.
Duke finished atop the men's team leaderboard at -3 (285), followed by Oklahoma State at 1- (287) to secure the top two seeds for match play. Alabama finished third at +5 (293), followed by Auburn at +8 (296).
Stanford won the women's stroke play round with a 2-under par 286. The Cardinal's PAC-12 rivals USC (+8, 296) and Arizona (+11, 299) finished second and third, respectively, followed by the Crimson Tide in fourth at +24 (312).
The Tide women will now face Stanford in the semifinals of match play on Tuesday morning at the par-72, 6,127-yard course. The Tide men will meet Oklahoma State in their match play semifinal at East Lake, which is playing at 7,430 yards for the men.
The Alabama-Stanford women's match-up will begin at 10:15 a.m. CT on Tuesday while the Tide men will tee off at 11:45 a.m. CT for their match with the Cowboys.
Sophomore Davis Shore led the Tide men on Monday, carding a 1-udner par 71 to tie for fourth. Senior Davis Riley (74) and freshmen Prescott Butler (74) and Frankie Capan III (74) all tied for ninth at +2 while sophomore Wilson Furr (80) tied for 19th at +8.
The Alabama women were led by sophomore Angelica Moresco, who fired a 1-over par 73 to finish seventh in the individual standings. Junior Jiwon Jeon tied for 12th at +4 (76) while fellow junior Kenzie Wright finished at +8 (80) to tie for 16th. Freshmen Mary Mac Trammell (83) finished 19th at +11 while freshman Carolina Caminoli (86) finished 20th at +14.
