We’ll be getting to know this year’s senior class with a series of Q&As here on RollTide.com
In her fourth year representing the Crimson Tide, Tressa Vitus hails from Lorton, Va., and is a Human Environmental Science major.
What's your favorite memory of rowing for Alabama?
"Conference finals sophomore year. We were stroke-for-stroke with Oklahoma and Kansas State with only a few meters left in the race. It was a photo finish and we ended up beating them by milliseconds."
What's your funniest memory of rowing for Alabama?
"Oh gosh, that's a hard choice. I think it'd have to be when we were in Chattanooga and Sydney Boles fell into a hole and water came exploding out. Water was spraying everywhere and everyone was screaming and running away."
If you could go back in time, which decade would you choose?
"The 80s so I could be friends with my mom."
If you could compete in any Olympic sport other than rowing, which would it be and why?
"Water polo. It looks so intense and fun, plus it's in the water which is an added bonus."
If you were going to be stranded on an island, which teammate(s) would you bring and why?
"Laura Egeland because even though it would suck to be stuck on an island, we'd find a way to make it fun."
