
Alabama’s Kenzie Wright Tied for Second after First Round of the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational

Crimson Tide in fifth place heading into Saturday’s second round
AUSTIN, Texas – Alabama junior Kenzie Wright fired a 1-under par 71 and is tied for second place following the first round of the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational on Friday.
Wright's round helped lead the Crimson Tide to fifth-place after the opening round at +14 (302) at the par-72, 6,491-yard University of Texas Golf Club in Austin, Texas. Host Texas (291) is the first round leader at +3. Kent State (294) is second at +6, followed by Florida (295) at +7, SMU (300) at+12 and the Tide to round out the top five.
Sophomore Angelica Moresco is tied for 14th at +2 after an opening round 74. Junior Jiwon Jeon is tied for 20th at +3 (75). Freshman Mary Mac Trammell made her collegiate debut on Friday and rounded out the team scoring for Alabama, tying for 63rd at +10 (82).
Alabama will be paired with SMU and Baylor in Saturday's second round. Play is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. CT.
