Alabama begins preparations for annual meeting with Tennessee
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama returned to the practice field Monday to begin preparations for its matchup with the Tennessee Volunteers on Saturday. The Crimson Tide worked for two hours in shells (helmets and shoulder pads) at the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields this afternoon.
The Crimson Tide and the Volunteers will meet for the 101st time on Saturday, Oct. 20, at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, Tenn. The game will kickoff at 2:30 p.m. CT on CBS with Brad Nessler, Gary Danielson and Jamie Erdahl on the call.
Also on Monday, four Alabama players earned mid-season recognition. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, wide receiver Jerry Jeudy, offensive lineman Jonah Williams and defensive back Deionte Thompson were all named to the ESPN and Sporting News mid-season All-America teams. The four selections were the most by any school on both squads.
