Next Meet: Tide to Host Crimson Classic on Oct. 13
Alabama will host the Crimson Classic on Oct. 13 at the Harry Pritchett Running Park. The annual Tide home meet draws a strong field of regional and national cross country programs and will serve as a final tune-up before the SEC Cross Country Championships, which will be held two weeks later. The Crimson Classic will get under way with a men's 8,000-meter race at 9 a.m. CT, followed by a women's 6,000-meter race at 9:45 a.m. CT.
Head Coach Dan Waters' Outlook
"The Joe Piane Invitational always draws a strong field of teams from around the country, including several nationally-ranked teams, so I expect this to be another good test for us as we begin to turn our focus to peaking for the postseason. I thought both of our teams ran very well at UC Riverside. We gave great effort and ran good tactical races. Now we have to do that again against what will be one the stronger fields you will see in a regular season meet."
