TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama men's tennis completed the Crimson Tide Four-In-The-Fall at the Alabama Tennis Stadium on Sunday morning.
"The weekend provided us a lot of match play and many situations to test ourselves both physically and mentally," said head coach George Husack. "The guys did a good job of attacking this head on. That's what the fall is about, getting to know our games and developing a clear plan of what we need to do to prepare for more competition this semester and ultimately in the Spring."
Sophomore Edson Ortiz won all three of his singles matches before falling in the Houndstooth Draw Final against Jake Van Emburgh of Oklahoma, 6-3, 6-2.
Freshman Sam Fischer moved past Jacob Eskeland of Rice, 7-6 (4), 4-6, 2-2, before Eskeland withdrew due to injury.
The Crimson Tide will return to action on Friday for a three-day tournament at the Commodore Scramble in Nashville, Tenn.
