Southeastern Conference Releases 2017 Soccer and Volleyball Broadcast Schedules

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Southeastern Conference announced its broadcast schedule for the upcoming 2017 soccer and volleyball seasons Wednesday. The Alabama soccer team will be featured three times on the ESPN family of networks and the volleyball team will appear seven times.
In addition to Alabama's 10 televised appearances, all home matches and select road contests will be streamed online through the SEC Network +. Video streaming links will be posted on the respective sport's schedule page on Rolltide.com prior to competition and will be available on WatchESPN.com and the WatchESPN app.
Alabama soccer will make its SEC Network debut on Sunday, August 27 as they take on top-ranked Florida State at 12 p.m. CT. The Crimson Tide's second appearance on the SEC Network comes on Thursday, September 28 against conference foe Tennessee at 6 p.m. Alabama's third nationally-broadcast match is set to air on ESPNU Sunday, October 15 against Mississippi State at 6 p.m. All three of the Tide's televised games will be played at home at the Alabama Soccer Complex.
In addition to the regular season, SEC Network will carry every round of the SEC Soccer Tournament from Orange Beach, Ala. Oct 29-Nov. 5, and will air the championship match for the first time since the network's inception.
Alabama volleyball is scheduled to appear seven times on the SEC Network, debuting on Friday, Sept. 22 at Stegeman Coliseum in Athens, Ga., against the Georgia Bulldogs at 6 p.m. CT. The Tide will then host Arkansas on SEC Network on Wednesday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. CT. A road match at Mississippi State on Friday, Oct. 27 marks the Tide's next televised appearance and is slated for a 6 p.m. start. On Wednesday, Nov. 1, Alabama's road match against intra-state rival Auburn will air at 7 p.m. on SEC Network as will its next two home matches against Georgia on Sunday, Nov. 5 at 12 p.m. and Wednesday, Nov. 8 against Kentucky at 7 p.m. Alabama's final conference road match concludes its televised schedule, as the Tide takes on the Missouri Tigers on Wednesday, Nov. 22 at 7 p.m.
