Alabama Football Returns to Work after Day Off

Tide begins preparations for first scrimmage this weekend
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The University of Alabama football team returned to practice on Monday after a day off from drills, working outdoors for two hours in shells (helmet, shoulder pads, shorts) at the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields. Today's practice began at 2:30 p.m. CT with the team taking part in drills during the two-hour session.
Monday's session marked the fourth day of work for the Tide and continues a stretch of eight practices before the team's first intra-squad scrimmage on Saturday, Aug. 12. The Tide will take part in a total of 25 practices during fall camp leading up to the Tide's season opener against No. 3 Florida State in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Ga. The matchup between the Tide and Seminoles is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT on ABC.
