Alabama Football Starts Classes, Holds Afternoon Practice on Wednesday

Day marks the start of the 2017-18 academic year
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The University of Alabama football team began classes on Wednesday with the start of the 2017-18 academic year. The Crimson Tide followed the day of classes with a two-hour session in full pads outdoors on the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields.
The 18th practice of fall camp began at 3:30 p.m. lasting for roughly two hours. The Tide will take part in 25 total practices leading up to the season-opening contest with No. 3 Florida State in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game on Sept. 2. The Crimson Tide and Seminoles will meet at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Ga., with the game airing on ABC at 7 p.m. CT.
Practices on Thursday and Friday are scheduled for 3:30 p.m. CT starts with the team putting in a 2:30 p.m. session on Saturday before taking Sunday off. Following Sunday's break, the Crimson Tide will start game week preparations for the season opener.
