Alabama to Host Oklahoma in Fifth Annual Big 12/SEC Challenge

The Crimson Tide and Sooners will play for eighth time in series history next season
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama men's basketball team will host the Oklahoma Sooners in Coleman Coliseum in the fifth annual Big 12/SEC Challenge, which will be held Jan. 27, 2018.
All 10 of the Big 12's teams and 10 of the SEC's 14 member institutions will participate in this year's event. Each of the 10 SEC teams that participate in the 2018 Challenge will be a part of the 2019 event.
Four of the 10 games will be televised on ESPN, four on ESPN2 and two games will air on ESPNU. Start times and network designations will be announced at a later date.
This year's contest will mark the eighth all-time meeting between Alabama and Oklahoma, with the Sooners posting a 5-2 edge in the all-time series. The last time the teams met came on Nov. 8, 2013 as Oklahoma secured an 82-73 come-from-behind victory over Alabama in Dallas.
The Tide owns a 1-0 record in the annual challenge, with the only game coming in a 76-64 victory over Texas Tech on Nov. 14, 2013 – the first year of the event. Alabama has not participated in the event in each of the last three seasons.
Deposits for 2017-18 men's basketball season tickets are currently being accepted by the University of Alabama TIDE PRIDE/Ticket Office.
