Senior Ritchie Kruunenberg was named to the SEC Community Service Team for men’s tennis for the 2016-17 season
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Senior Ritchie Kruunenberg has been named to the Southeastern Conference Community Service Team for the men's tennis for the 2016-17 season, which was announced by the league off on Tuesday. The SEC honors student-athletes from each of its 20 sports annually that give back to their community in superior service efforts.
All league-sponsored sports have had a Community Service Team since 2004, with at-large teams for men's and women's sports being chosen from 1999-2003.
Kruunenberg spent time this season volunteering with Habitat for Humanity in Tuscaloosa. He also made a trip to Rock Quarry Elementary to participate in physical activities with students earlier this spring.
Catch Kruunenberg and the rest of the team in action on Wednesday, April 26, when it is set to take on the Vanderbilt Commodores at 10 a.m. CT in the first round of the 2017 SEC Tournament on the campus of The University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tenn.
