BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Senior Erin Routliffe has been named to the Southeastern Conference Community Service Team for women's tennis for the 2016-17 season, which was announced by the league office on Tuesday. The SEC honors student-athletes from each of its 20 sports annually that give back to their community in superior service efforts.
All league-sponsored sports have had a Community Service Team since 2004, with at-large teams for men's and women's sports being chosen from 1999-2003.
Routliffe has helped with events around campus like Crimson Field Day and the Halloween Extravaganza. She also volunteered with the VA Medical Center, Habitat for Humanity and the Soup Kitchen. The gifted senior also worked with Read Bama Read, The Hope Initiative, Capstone Village and Read Across America.
Catch Routliffe and the rest of the team in action on Friday, April 14, when the Tide hosts the 18th-ranked Arkansas Razorbacks at 4 p.m. CT at the Alabama Tennis Stadium.
