TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama swimming and diving team is sending three women and two men to the NCAA Zone B Championships in Auburn, Ala., March 6-8. The Zone championships serve as the gateway to the NCAA Championships for divers.
On the men's side of the slate, senior Brent Sagert and junior David Morton will compete for spots in the NCAA Championships.
For the women, sophomores Margy McCarthy and Ayanna Woods along with senior Kara Fredlock will compete for NCAA berths.
The women will start things off on the 3-meter board while the men will start things off on the 1-meter board on Monday. On Tuesday, the women will go off the 1-meter and the men will go off the 3-meter. On Wednesday, both the men and women will compete off the platform.
The Tide women are looking to add to an NCAA Championship roster that already includes juniors Mia Nonnenberg and Bailey Scott as well as three relays. The men will find out which swimmers qualified for NCAAs on Wednesday, March 8.
