Three former Crimson Tide standouts record interceptions in week 14
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The 14th week of the 2017 season in the National Football League wrapped up on Monday. Below is a look at some of the highlights from former Crimson Tide players currently in the League. Â
Kenyan Drake enjoyed a career day, rushing for 114 yards on a career-high 25 carries as the Miami Dolphins defeated the New England Patriots, 27-20, on Monday Night Football. The second-year running back also added five catches for a team-high 79 yards to account for 193 yards of total offense. With the effort, Drake became the first Dolphin in 10-plus years to have both 100 or more rushing yards and over 75 receiving yards in a single game.
On his birthday, rookie defensive back Eddie Jackson posted a standout performance in the Chicago Bears' 33-7 blowout win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Jackson was the catalyst in leading to a pair of turnovers, as he forced a fumble and recorded an interception to go with his four tackles for the Chicago defense.
C.J. Mosley continued his impressive play, posting a team-high 14 tackles, while adding a pass breakup as the Baltimore Ravens fell to the Pittsburgh Steelers, 39-38. Mosley is currently tied for fourth in the league in total tackles with 115 entering week 15. Also providing a solid effort for the Baltimore defense was rookie cornerback Marlon Humphrey, who registered five tackles, including one tackle for loss.
Ha-Ha Clinton Dix recorded an impressive performance for the Green Bay defense in the Packers' 27-21 overtime victory over the Cleveland Browns. Clinton-Dix tallied six stops to rank third on the defense while picking off his third pass of the season.
Rookie linebacker Reuben Foster continued his steady play for the San Francisco defense as the 49ers defeated the Houston Texans, 26-16. Foster finished with a team-high eight tackles, including one tackle for loss. In that same game between the 49ers and Texans, Kareem Jackson notched his first interception of the season while contributing three tackles.
O.J. Howard recorded his fifth receiving touchdown of the season as part of his four catches for 54 yards in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' 24-21 loss to the Detroit Lions. Howard's five touchdowns on the season tie him for second in the league among rookies. Â
