2017 Rowing Signing Day

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama head rowing coach Larry Davis has announced the team's class of 11 signees for the fall signing period.
"This year's recruiting class is without a doubt the most talented and diverse in program history," Davis said. "They hail from excellent scholastic and junior rowing programs in the United States, Australia, Canada and New Zealand. Our recruiting coordinator and assistant coach James Mulcahy has done an outstanding job assembling this signing class.
"We are looking forward with a lot of excitement to their arrival on campus and to see the impact they will have on Crimson Tide Rowing."
Haley Alexander (Laguna Niguel, Calif.)
Haley Alexander is a senior at Dana Hills High School. She rows for Newport Sea Base and competed in the Lightweight 4+ at the 2017 Youth Nationals and the Youth Coxed Quad at the 2017 Head of the Charles.
Cathryn Antonacio (Fort Washington, Pa.)
Cathryn Antonacio is an accomplished rower and swimmer with Mount Saint Joseph's Academy. She won gold in the 1V8+ at the City Championships, bronze at the Statesbury Regatta and was part of the top high school boat at the Head of the Charles.
McKenna Carroll (Newport Beach, Calif.)
McKenna Carroll is a multi-sport athlete at Mater Dei High School who rows at the Newport Aquatic Center. Most recently, she placed fourth at Regionals in the Novice 8+ after previously competing in the Elite Girls Soccer League.
Ilaria Earl (Christchurch, New Zealand)
Ilaria Earl will arrive in Tuscaloosa from Christchurch, New Zealand, where she currently competes with St. Margaret's Rowing. This year, she finished second in the Girls U18 8+ at the Aon Maadi Cup and won gold in the U17 last year.
Lilya Fenjiro (Burke, Va.)
Lilya Fenjiro rows with Lake Braddock Crew. She earned silver at the 2016 Head of the Occoquan and was a state champion in 2015. She is also a member of the high school orchestra and National Art Honor Society.
Leigha Geraghty (Brockville, Ontario, Canada)
Leigha Geraghty is another international signee for the Crimson Tide. This year, she earned gold at the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta and competed at the RCA National Rowing Championships.
Madison Miller (Centreville, Va.)
Madison Miller is a senior at Westfield High School. She competes with Resilient Rowing, finishing second in the Mixed 8+ at the 2017 Head of the Hooch. She also won the 4+ and placed second in the 8+ at the 2017 Occoquan Chase.
Brynn Pelletier (Villanova, Pa.)
Brynn Pelletier is a senior at Mount Saint Joseph's Academy. This year, she placed first at the PSRA Championship regatta, third at the Statesbury Cup and eighth at the Head of the Charles.
Nikolett Provenza (Newport Beach, Calif.)
Nikolett Provenza is a senior at Corona del Mar High School in Newport Beach, Calif., and competes at the Newport Aquatic Center. She earned the Women on Water Award for Excellence in 2017 and competed in the singles at the Southwest Youth Championships.
Lina Rak (Portland, Ore.)
Lina Rak is a senior at Lincoln High School and competes with Rose City Rowing Club. In 2015, she attended the U.S. Junior National Team Development Camp.
Lucy Stevens (Brisbane, Queensland, Australia)
Lucy Stevens attends Brisbane Girls Grammar School while competing with the University of Queensland Boat Club. She earned a runner-up finish in the Australian Selection Trials Pathway 8 in 2017.
