Alabama Men Tennis’ Thibault Cancel Splits His Two Matches at USTA $15k Futures on Thursday

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Sophomore No. 72 Thibault Cancel split his two matches in the Main Draw of the USTA $15k Futures in Birmingham, Ala., on Thursday.
Cancel started off the morning by completing his match against Sergey Belov of Russia, which was suspended yesterday due to rain, defeating Belov in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2.
Later in the afternoon, Cancel then fell to Gustav Hansson of Sweden, 0-6, 6-2, 6-2.
Alabama men's tennis will return to action next Friday, Nov. 10-12, for the CCB Collegiate Invitational in Birmingham, Ala.
