Alabama Remains in Second Place after Round Two at The Landfall Tradition

Crimson Tide trails Duke by one shot entering Sunday’s final round
WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Alabama women's golf team remains in second place at 13-under par, one shot off the lead, after a 3-under par second round Saturday in The Landfall Tradition at the par-72, 6,166-yard Pete Dye Course at the Country Club of Landfall in Wilmington, N.C.
Junior Lauren Stephenson (67-71/138) will begin Sunday's final round in third place at 6-under par, three shots off the lead, after a 1-under par round Saturday. Sophomore Kristen Gillman (69-71/140) remains tied for fifth at 4-under par. Junior Cheyenne Knight (70-73/143) is tied for 11th at 1-under par.
Freshman Angelica Moresco (75-70/145) carded the low round for Alabama on Saturday with a 2-under par 70 and is tied for 18th at 1-over par. Senior Lakareber Abe (72-75/147) shot a 3-over par 75 on Saturday and is tied for 28th.
Senior Nicole Morales (73-76/149) is playing as an individual this weekend and is tied for 39th at 5-over par after a 4-over par 76 on Saturday.
Duke (277-285/562) tops the leaderboard at 14-under par to lead the Tide (278-285/563) by one shot. Michigan State (282-292/574) is in third place at 2-under par. South Carolina (285-292/577) is fourth at 1-over par and Oklahoma State (294-286/580) is fifth at 4-over par.
The final round of the 54-hole tournament will begin at 7:45 a.m. CT on Sunday with a shotgun start. Alabama will be paired with Duke and Michigan State in the third round.
