
Alabama Women’s Tennis Wraps Up Competition at ITA Southern Regional Championships

No. 37 Andie Daniell finishes competition at southern regionals with a 4-1 record
AUBURN, Ala. – Alabama women's tennis concluded action at the 2017 ITA Southern Regional Championships on Sunday in Auburn, Ala. Junior Andie Daniell finished the championships with a 4-1 record in singles play.
In the singles main draw quarterfinals, No. 37 Daniell edged out Eden Richardson of LSU in three sets. After falling, 2-6, in the first set, Daniell bounced back and took down Richardson, 6-2, and, 6-1, in sets two and three to stay alive.
In the semifinal round, the Georgia native battled hard but fell short to No. 17 Arianne Hartono of Ole Miss, 6-0, 6-1.
Alabama will continues its fall slate next weekend, hosting the annual Roberta Alison Fall Classic Oct. 27-28 in Tuscaloosa.
