Former Alabama players provide strong efforts on the defensive side of the ball
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The fifth week of the 2017 season in the National Football League wrapped up on Monday. Below is a look at some of the week-five highlights from former Crimson Tide players currently in the NFL. Â
Mark Barron posted his best performance of the season, finishing with a season-high 15 tackles, including one tackle for loss, as the Los Angeles Rams fell to the Seattle Seahawks, 16-10. Barron leads the Rams defensive unit in total tackles so far this season with 41 through five games.
The New York Giants fell to the Los Angeles Chargers, 27-21, but Landon Collins continued his impressive play, tallying eight tackles to tie for second-most on the team. Collins currently leads the Giants defense in tackles with 37 entering week six.
C.J. Mosley provided a strong effort for the Baltimore defense, notching six tackles, as the Ravens defeated the Oakland Raiders, 30-17. Mosley currently ranks fifth in the league in total tackles with 44 on the season.
Packers' safety Ha-Ha Clinton Dix had a solid outing for Green Bay, finishing with five stops in a 35-31 victory over the Dallas Cowboys. Clinton-Dix's 26 tackles on the season places him third on the Packers defense.
