Former Alabama players continue to excel on both sides of the ball
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Below is a look at some of the highlights from last week by former Crimson Tide players currently in the NFL.
Mark Ingram had his biggest game of the season, rushing 15 times for 77 yards while adding four catches for 30 yards and a touchdown as the New Orleans Saints fell to the Atlanta Falcons, 45-32, on Monday Night Football. The touchdown was Ingram's first receiving score for his career.
In his first career start for the Miami Dolphins, Kenyan Drake rushed for a team-high 37 yards on nine carries while adding two catches for 11 yards in a 30-24 overtime victory over the Cleveland Browns.
Mark Barron continued his impressive play, notching nine tackles and an interception in the Los Angeles Rams' 37-32 win over the Tampa Bay Bucs. Barron also added one pass breakup.
The Baltimore defense, led by C.J. Mosley, earned a 19-17 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Mosley grabbed an interception for the second straight week, while also recording six stops and two pass breakups by day's end.
Running back Eddie Lacy crossed the century mark for the first time this season, gaining 103 yards on 17 carries in the Green Bay Packers' 34-27 victory over the Detroit Lions.
Landon Collins put together another strong performance, finishing with eight tackles and a pass breakup as the New York Giants fell to the Washington Redskins, 29-27. The second-year safety currently leads the Giants in solo tackles with 16.
Second-year wideout Amari Cooper had another solid game for the Oakland Raiders, hauling in four passes for 62 yards in a 17-10 win over the Tennessee Titans. Cooper currently ranks fifth among all wideouts in yards after the catch with 98.
