Alabama Women’s No. 34 Ranked Doubles Pair Moves to Second Round of ITF 10k Charleston

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Alabama women's tennis' No. 34 nationally ranked doubles pair in sophomore Andie Daniell and senior Erin Routliffe advanced to the second round of the 16 team main draw in the ITF 10k LTP Charleston tournament in Charleston, S.C.
Daniell and Routliffe topped Akiko Okuda and Mara Schmidt of the U.S. in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3. The Crimson Tide's duo is set to take on Alyvia Jones and Abigail Forbes, also another U.S. pair, Thursday. Match time is to be determined.
In singles play, Daniell fell to Japan's Yukako Noi, 7-5, 7-6(4), before Routliffe lost to Emiliana Arango of Columbia, 6-2, 6-4.
