TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The University of Alabama football team put in two more hours of work in full pads on Wednesday afternoon at the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields.
The Tide continued to refine its game plan to counter the Kentucky rushing attack, one of the Southeastern Conference's top ranked units. The Crimson Tide and Wildcats will go head-to-head this Saturday, Oct. 1, at Bryant-Denny Stadium with kickoff scheduled for 6:05 p.m. CT. Alabama's homecoming game will air live on ESPN with Dave Pasch and Greg McElroy in the booth and Tom Luginbill on the sidelines for the broadcast.
The Crimson Tide and Wildcats will meet for the 40th time in a series that dates back to 1917, with Alabama holding a 36-2-1 advantage. Head coach Nick Saban is 8-1 in Southeastern Conference home openers at UA and his teams have outscored opponents by a 282-129 mark.
