C.J. Mosley and Mark Barron both provided huge plays to ensure victories for their respective teams
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Below is a look at some of the week two highlights from former Crimson Tide players currently in the NFL.
Linebacker C.J. Mosley provided the play of the game for the Baltimore Ravens after grabbing a game-winning interception on the one-yard line late in the fourth quarter to seal a 25-20 victory over the Cleveland Browns. Mosley also added six tackles, including two for a loss.
Linebacker Mark Barron also played the role of hero, forcing a fumble late in the fourth quarter to end the Seattle Seahawks' comeback attempt and secure a 9-3 win for the Los Angeles Rams. He also recorded a team-high 10 tackles with a pass breakup.
Wide receiver Julio Jones recorded his first 100-yard receiving game of the season, hauling in five passes for 106 yards and a touchdown to lead the Atlanta Falcons over the Oakland Raiders, 35-28.
Opposing Jones was fellow wideout Amari Cooper who continued his steady play in the Raiders' loss to the Falcons, catching five passes for 71 yards. The second-year wideout currently ranks sixth in the league with 208 receiving yards on the season.
Safety Landon Collins notched six tackles, including his first career sack, to help lead the New York Giants to a 16-13 win over the New Orleans Saints.
Cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick picked off a pass on a rain-soaked day for his first interception of the season in the Cincinnati Bengals' 24-16 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Kirkpatrick also added two tackles and a pass breakup.
Running back Kenyan Drake had a milestone game, finishing with two carries for 12 yards and his first career touchdown as the Miami Dolphins fell to the New England Patriots, 31-24. Drake also caught two passes for six yards.
