
2016-17 Alabama Women’s Basketball Schedule Finalized with Announcement of SEC Slate

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The 2016-17 Alabama women's basketball schedule is now complete with the announcement of the Southeastern Conference slate, which was released by the league office on Tuesday.
The Crimson Tide will play a total of 16 league games split evenly with eight at home and eight on the road. The schedule consists of a single game with 10 teams and a home and away with Auburn, Alabama's permanent opponent, and two rotating opponents that change annually.
UA will ring in the New Year in Columbia, S.C. where it will face the three-time defending SEC champion Gamecocks on ESPN2. The Tide then opens the home portion of its conference schedule against Ole Miss on Jan. 5. Remaining home matchups in January include Kentucky (Jan. 12), Arkansas (Jan. 15 on SEC Network), Mississippi State (Jan. 19) and Auburn (Jan. 29 on SEC Network), while road contests consist of Missouri (Jan. 8), Ole Miss (Jan. 22) and Vanderbilt (Jan. 26 on SEC Network).
Alabama plays back-to-back road games to tip off the second month of conference play at LSU (Feb. 5 on SEC Network) and Texas A&M (Feb. 9). The Tide's road swing will be followed up by two straight home games, hosting Florida (Feb. 12 on SEC Network) and Tennessee (Feb. 16). UA hits the road for two more away games, at Auburn (Feb. 20 on SEC Network) and Georgia (Feb. 23) before closing out the regular season at home against Missouri (Feb. 26).
The 2017 SEC Women's Basketball Tournament will be played Wednesday, March 1 - Sunday, March 5 at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, S.C. The SEC Network will televise the first three days of the tournament, while the semifinals will be aired on ESPNU and the championship game on ESPN2.
All of the games in the ESPN package (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU) and the SEC Network will be available through WatchESPN, accessible online at WatchESPN.com, on smartphones and tablets via the WatchESPN app, and streamed on televisions through Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, Xbox 360 or Xbox One to fans who receive their video subscription from an affiliated provider.
Season tickets are currently on sale for $45 for public reserved general admission. In addition, nine sets of season tickets for floor seating remain at a cost of $99. Faculty/staff and senior citizen season tickets are available for $25, and groups of four or more public reserved general admission are reduced to $35.
Donation tickets for the women's basketball season are also on sale and offered at the discounted group rate of $35. As an added incentive, customers will receive one Total Tide Priority Point for every four donation tickets purchased. Tickets purchased will be given to local 501(c) 3 agencies and/or military personnel. Donation tickets will not be mailed to the account holder but will be donated directly to the participating agencies.
