TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama women's basketball team spent time this week calling potential season ticketholders in preparation for the move back to Coleman Coliseum. In all, 120 calls were made, which helped the overall number of new season tickets rise to nearly 100.
"We've been reaching out to fans around the community and been trying to connect with them," said freshman Jordan Lewis. "We see them in the crowd, cheering us on, so today we are here to encourage the fans, one-on-one, to buy season tickets.
"Talking with fans today, they didn't realize that our season tickets are only $45," added Lewis. "That's a good price for good family entertainment!"
In addition to the $45 public reserved general admission option, nine sets of season tickets for floor seating remain at a cost of $99. Faculty/staff and senior citizen season tickets are available for $25, and groups of four or more public reserved general admission are reduced to $35.
Donation tickets for the women's basketball season are also on sale and offered at the discounted group rate of $35. As an added incentive, customers will receive one Total Tide Priority Point for every four donation tickets purchased. Tickets purchased will be given to local 501(c) 3 agencies and/or military personnel. Donation tickets will not be mailed to the account holder but will be donated directly to the participating agencies.
"We are putting an emphasis on getting new season ticketholders to come watch us play in Coleman Coliseum," said junior Ashley Williams. "It's an experience we haven't had in a long time – going from Foster and having a big crowd there and bringing it over to Coleman. I think the fans really understand how big of a support they are for us and they really do encourage us to play better during the game."
The Crimson Tide will host its lone exhibition contest on Friday, Nov. 4, against West Alabama. Regular season action tips off a week later when the women's basketball team hosts New Orleans on the front end of a doubleheader with the men's team.
