Alabama Football Makes Final Preparations Before Heading to Texas for 2016 Season Opener

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The University of Alabama football team slowed its pace and focused on fine-tuning fundamentals and special teams, putting in a helmets-only two-hour session at the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility.
Thursday's 3:30 p.m. CT session was the Tide's final tune-up before the team travels to Arlington, Texas, on Friday afternoon. The top-ranked Crimson Tide is set to open its 2016 campaign against the No. 20 USC Trojans in the AdvoCare Classic on Saturday evening at AT&T Stadium. The contest between the two storied programs is set for a 7 p.m. CT kickoff on ABC with Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit and Samantha Ponder on the call.
Alabama will play its neutral site contest to open the season on Saturday before returning to Tuscaloosa for its home opener against Western Kentucky on Sept. 10. The Crimson Tide and Hilltoppers are scheduled for a 2:30 p.m. CT kickoff on ESPN2.
