TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The first two-a-day practice of Alabama's 2016 fall camp got underway on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. as the Tide put together a two-hour session in full pads on the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields. The Crimson Tide's second practice of the day is set for a 7:30 p.m. start in shells.
The two-hour morning workout was the sixth of 28 practices during camp for the preseason No. 1 Crimson Tide as the team prepares for its season opener with No. 17 Southern California in the AdvoCare Classic inside AT&T Stadium on Sept. 3. The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. CT kickoff on ABC. Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit and Sam Ponder will be on the call.
Next up for the Tide following this evening's practice are single practices on Wednesday and Friday along with another two-a-day session sandwiched in between on Thursday. On Saturday the team will head to Bryant-Denny Stadium for its first intrasquad scrimmage of the fall before the first off day of fall camp on Sunday.
