Alabama Football Puts in Final Work Heading into First Scrimmage of 2016 Fall Camp

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- The University of Alabama football team held a final tune-up on Friday afternoon leading into this weekend's first scrimmage of Fall Camp. The Crimson Tide practiced in shells (helmets, shoulder pads, shorts) for roughly two hours Friday afternoon inside the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility.
Practice began at 2:30 p.m. with the team focusing on fundamentals in preparations for tomorrow's scrimmage. Saturday's intrasquad matchup will begin at 1 p.m. CT inside Bryant-Denny Stadium with an off day for the team to follow on Sunday.
The single practice was the Crimson Tide's 11th of fall camp leading up to the season opener in Arlington, Texas, against the Southern California Trojans in the AdvoCare Classic. The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. CT kickoff inside AT&T Stadium on ABC with Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit and Sam Ponder on the call.
