Alabama Women’s Basketball Releases 2016 Non-Conference Schedule

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama head coach Kristy Curry announced the 2016 women's basketball non-conference schedule on Monday, which features 11 home games, including one exhibition matchup, one tournament and one true road game. The team is returning to Coleman Coliseum this season for all of its home games.
Fans will get their first look of the Crimson Tide on Nov. 4, when the squad takes on West Alabama in an exhibition game. One week later Alabama will officially tip off the regular season when it hosts New Orleans on Nov. 11. The Tide has four additional home games in November against Mississippi Valley State (Nov. 14), Lipscomb (Nov. 17), Georgia Southern (Nov. 22) and Alabama A&M (Nov. 27).
Alabama opens December with Alcorn State on the 1st and will follow that up with a matchup against Kansas in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge on Dec. 4. The Tide will then play its first road game when it travels to Georgetown (Dec. 11). Alabama returns home for a pair of contests in Tuscaloosa against Georgia State (Dec. 15) and Georgia Tech (Dec. 17) before heading to Florida for a tournament in Niceville, which will include Alabama, McNeese State, Pittsburgh and UTEP and run Dec. 19-20. The Tide will play one additional non-conference game following the holiday break against Florida A&M on Dec. 28 before beginning the Southeastern Conference portion of its schedule.
Season tickets are currently on sale and can be purchased on RollTide.com. Reserved general admission tickets are $45 for the public, $35 for groups of four or more and $25 for faculty/staff and senior citizens. A limited number of floor seats are also available for $99.
