
Alabama Softball Ranked No. 6 in Final NFCA National Rankings

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Following its 11th Women's College World Series appearance, Alabama Softball is ranked No. 6 in the final National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) top 25 poll, announced Tuesday.
The Crimson Tide has finished the season ranked in the top 10 every season since 2005, a streak of 12-straight. Over that stretch, Alabama has played in 12 Super Regional rounds, winning nine of them to advance to the Women's College World Series, including a current streak of three straight.
This season, Alabama finished with a 51-14 record, posting its 12th 50-win season including 10 in the past 12 seasons. The Tide coaching staff was honored as the NFCA South Region Coaching Staff of the Year, its 10th such honor. Alabama made its 11th Women's College World Series appearance and its 18th-consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance. The Tide surpassed the 1,000 wins mark with a win on April 5, becoming the fourth SEC team to do so and the first among the league programs that began playing softball in 1997.
