Football Straps on Full Pads for First Time

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The University of Alabama football team put on full pads for the first time this spring, practicing for two hours Wednesday afternoon on the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields. The practice marked the third of spring drills.
Alabama's 2016 Golden Flake A-Day Spring Football Game is scheduled for Saturday, April 16, at 2 p.m. CT inside Bryant-Denny Stadium. The A-Day Game is once again free to the public and will be televised live on ESPN.
Recently, former Alabama running back Derrick Henry was announced as a finalist for the 2016 James E. Sullivan Award. The Sullivan Award is annually given to the nation's best amateur athlete by the Amateur Athletic Union. Fans are encouraged to vote at http://www.aausullivan.org/Vote through March 23.
