Alabama Rowing Wraps Up Weekend Sunday in Sacramento

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Alabama Rowing posted its fastest times of the weekend Sunday on Lake Natoma in Sacramento, Calif., winning two of its three races against San Diego State.
The Crimson Tide posted wins in the Second Varsity 8+ and Varsity 4+, crossing the line with winning times of 6:31.4 and 7:19.3, respectively. After winning both of its races on Saturday, the Alabama First Varsity 8+ fell by just a length on Sunday, posting a weekend-best time of 6:27.3 that was just short of San Diego State's time of 6:22.1.
Sunday's races capped a successful two days of racing against San Diego State, Sacramento State and St. Mary's on Lake Natoma. Overall, Alabama won seven of its nine races including a weekend sweep from the Second Varsity 8+.
Alabama will be back in action on April 9-10 at the Knecht Cup in Mercer, N.J.
