The two teams first met on Nov. 28, 1986 in the 1986-87 season opener, which was being played at the Southern Invitational in Atlanta. Alabama came away with an 81-60 victory in the initial matchup. The series would resume on Dec. 17, 2008 in Tuscaloosa where the Tide won 70-68 in overtime. The next year, Alabama traveled to Tallahassee and fell 61-52 to the home Rattlers. In the last meeting, the Tide came away with a 16-point victory beating Florida A&M, 60-44.
- Junior Meoshonti Knight leads four in double figures with 12.9 points per game. Wade averages a team-best 7.4 boards per game, while Lewis has dished out a team-high 4.4 assists per contest.
- Alabama stands at 11-1 thus far in non-conference play, which is its best mark since it went 12-1 prior to Southeastern Conference play during the 2000-01 season.
- Jordan Lewis earned her second SEC Freshman of the Week honor on Tuesday after recording a 2:1 assist/turnover ratio, finishing with six assists and only three turnovers in 32 minutes played against UTEP. Lewis also scored 17 points, 12 of which came in the first quarter to spark the Alabama offense.
FAB FROSH
- Alabama's freshmen, Ashley Knight and Jordan Lewis, have made an immediate impact in the Tide's lineup.

ALABAMA FRESHMEN TAKE HOME THREE SEC FoW HONORS
- Alabama has won three Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week honors already this season, which is just two shy than it has won in its program history overall heading into the year.
- Point guard Jordan Lewis picked up the league honors on Nov. 15 and Dec. 27, while Ashley Knight earned her award on Dec. 20.
GETTING TO THE LINE

WILLIAMS CLOSING IN ON 1,000
- Junior Ashley Williams is 115 points away from becoming Alabama's 25th 1,000 point scorer in program history.
- Should she reach that number this season, she would be only the 13th Crimson Tide student-athlete to reach the milestone in three years or less.

- That averages out to 37.6 points at the half for the Tide compared to 23.3 for the opposition, a difference of 14.3 points.
BALANCED OFFENSE
- One of Coach Curry's team goals for the season is to have at least four in double-figure points each outing.
- The Crimson Tide reached that goal in eight of its 12 games this season as five recorded 10 or more points four times and four did so on four occasions.
- Alabama was just shy in its games against Georgia Southern, as three finished in double figures and one had eight, and Alcorn State, where three had double figures and two had nine points.
ALABAMA DOMINATING POINTS IN THE PAINT
