Alabama Football Works Two Hours on Sunday for Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Matchup with Washington

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The University of Alabama football team spent Sunday afternoon on the fields of the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility, working two hours in full pads as the Tide continues preparations for the 2016 Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl.
It was the third of seven bowl practices before the Tide breaks for the holiday and the third of 11 prior to the College Football Playoff Semifinal on Saturday, Dec. 31. Alabama will square off with Washington in the 2016 Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. The game will air live on ESPN at 2 p.m. CT, with the trio of Joe Tessitore, Todd Blackledge and Holly Rowe on the call.
Washington, this season's Pac-12 champion, enters the Semifinal with a 12-1 record overall including an 8-1 mark in conference play. The Huskies earned a berth in the playoffs following a 41-10 victory over No. 8 Colorado in the Pac-12 Championship on Dec. 2. Washington is led by head coach Chris Peterson, who has a 27-13 record in his third season with the program and an 11-year career record of 119-25 between his two stops at Boise State and now Washington.
The contest on New Year's Eve will be the fifth pairing between Alabama and Washington in the history of the two schools, with UA owning a 4-0 overall record in the series. The most recent meeting was in the 1986 Sun Bowl where the Crimson Tide came claimed a 28-6 victory.
