Alabama Athletics Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Hosts Project Angel Tree Event

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -Â University of Alabama student-athletes welcomed local children to Coleman Coliseum Thursday evening for the Athletics Department's and Student-Athlete Advisory Committee's annual Project Angel Tree event.
The student-athletes donated money, shopped for and wrapped Christmas gifts for local children, with all the Crimson Tide's teams participating in the outreach project.
This year's event coincided with Alabama women's basketball game against Alcorn State, so after sharing a meal and taking in part in a variety of holiday inspired activities, everyone had the opportunity to take in the game, including welcoming the Tide to the floor.
Thursday's event marked the 25th consecutive year that Alabama Athletics has participated in Project AngelTree, making it one of the longest tenured groups in the state of Alabama in the project.
