Former Alabama players continue to rank among league leaders on both sides of the ball
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Below is a look at some of the highlights from last week by former Crimson Tide players currently in the NFL.
A pair of former Crimson Tide teammates went head-to-head on Sunday, as Mark Ingram and the New Orleans Saints welcomed the Los Angeles Rams and Mark Barron to town.
Enjoying one of the best games of his career, Ingram rushed for 146 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries as the Saints defeated the Rams, 49-21. He also added a 21-yard reception for a score. Earlier this week, Ingram was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in his career following his big day.
On the season, Ingram has compiled 721 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 136 carries, while adding 30 catches for 248 yards and four touchdowns. The former Heisman winner currently leads all ball carriers in average yards per carry (5.3) and receiving touchdowns (4). Ingram is also one of four running backs in the league to record at least three touchdowns both on the ground and through the air.
Mark Barron once again led the Los Angeles defense in tackles, finishing with 14 stops, including two for a loss, and added a fumble recovery in the Rams' loss. For the season, Barron has notched 91 tackles, one sack, two interceptions, seven pass breakups and a fumble recovery.
The Buffalo Bills received another monster performance from Marcell Dareus, recording eight stops, including two sacks and another tackle for loss, as Buffalo took down the Jacksonville Jaguars, 28-21.

The second-year safety is currently enjoying a breakout season, recording 87 tackles, three sacks, five interceptions and 10 pass breakups. He currently leads all secondary defenders in tackles (87) and sacks (3) while ranking second in interceptions (5).
On Wednesday, Collins became the first Giants safety to be named the NFC Defensive Player of the Month. In four November games – all Giants victories – Collins had 30 tackles, one sack and three interceptions.
Packers safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix helped lead the Green Bay defense to a 27-13 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football, registering three tackles and his third interception in the past four games.Â
Julio Jones made an impact away from the ball for the Atlanta Falcons, catching four passes for 35 yards while demanding double-coverage throughout the team's 38-19 win over the Arizona Cardinals. On the season, Jones has grabbed 65 passes for a league-high 1,140 yards and five touchdowns. He currently ranks third among wideouts in yards after the catch (361) and seventh in receptions (65).
The Crimson Tide's other Heisman winner, Derrick Henry, had an impressive outing for the Titans, rushing for a team-high 60 yards and a touchdown to lead Tennessee past the Chicago Bears, 27-21. The touchdown was the second of the season for the rookie, while his 60 rushing yards ties the highest mark of his young career.
