Alabama Squares Off Against Saint Louis Wednesday Night in Las Vegas Main Event Consolation Game

Crimson Tide and Billikens tip off at 8:30 p.m. CT (6:30 p.m. PT) on Wednesday
LAS VEGAS – The Alabama men's basketball team will close play in the Heavyweight Division of the Men Who Speak Up Main Event at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, when it takes on Saint Louis in the consolation game on Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. CT (6:30 p.m. PT).
Both teams dropped their semifinal contest on Monday night. The Billikens fell to BYU by a score of 92-62 in the first semifinal, while the Crimson Tide dropped a 68-60 decision to Valparaiso in the nightcap.

Alabama is led on the year by redshirt freshman Dazon Ingram tops the team in assists (4.8), steals (1.3) and minutes (28.0) per game, while ranking second with 10.3 ppg. Graduate transfer Corban Collins leads the team in scoring at 10.5 ppg and three-point field goals made (7).
ABOUT SAINT LOUIS
• First-year Billikens head coach Travis Ford is in his 20th season as a collegiate head coach and has a 347-259 career mark. Ford began his career at Campbellsville, an NAIA institution in Campbellsville, Ky. From there, Ford served five seasons as head coach at Eastern Kentucky before moving on to UMass for three seasons. He was at Oklahoma State the last eight seasons.
• Sophomore guard Jermaine Bishop scored a career-high 27 points in the loss to BYU on Monday. Bishop's 27 points came on 11-of-23 shooting from the field and 4-of-9 from long range. For the year, the point guard leads the Billikens in scoring (13.8 ppg) and assists (5.0 apg).
• Senior forward Reggie Agbeko is averaging a double-double with 13.5 ppg and 10.3 rpg (second in the A-10). He posted double-doubles in each of the first two games and flirted with them in the last two – he fouled out of the EIU game with 18 points and seven rebounds and finished with six points and 10 boards vs. BYU.
• Junior guard Davell Roby averages 13.0 ppg, while redshirt freshman forward Elliott Welmer scores 9.8 ppg and is second on the Billikens with six made 3-pointers.
• Saint Louis is coming off a 92-62 defeat to BYU in the first semifinal game Monday night. The Billikens were down by just five points with 10 minutes remaining in the game, but BYU outscored the Bills 31-6 down the stretch to post the 30-point win.
